Watch: PANTERA Played Their First Show With Their New Lineup

They're taking over this town.

Pantera hit the stage for the first time in over 20 years at the Hell & Heaven Metal Fest on December 2 in Mexico, and now here's the moment you've all been waiting for – this is how they sound! Shout out to the band for clearly putting the work in on this one and making their first show back something special. They sound great!

The show ran as follows:

  1. "A New Level"
  2. "Mouth for War"
  3. "Strength Beyond Strength"
  4. "Becoming"
  5. "I'm Broken"
  6. "Use My Third Arm"
  7. "Drag the Waters"
  8. "This Love"
  9. "Yesterday Don't Mean Shit"
  10. "Fucking Hostile"
  11. "Cemetery Gates"
  12. "Planet Caravan"
  13. "5 Minutes Alone"
  14. "Cowboys From Hell"

The band's current lineup is vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown alongside Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde (assisted by Dimebag's guitar technician Grady Champion) and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. Though interestingly, and despite their approval of the shows, the estate of late Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul recently issued the following statement clarifying that the shows are not a reunion.

"There can never be a Pantera reunion without Vinnie and Dime," the statement read. "However, there is no better way to celebrate and honor Vinnie and Dime's legacy, than to bring the music of Pantera directly to the fans. We are honored that Charlie and Zakk, their very close friends and musical brothers, will share the stage with Philip and Rex, to unleash the power of Pantera live around the world."

As an added bonus, here's the band soundchecking with 'Cowboys From Hell" prior to their debut performance.
