Watch METALLICA Play A Tower Records Parking Lot In 1996 To Celebrate the Release of Load

To promote the Load album.

Metallica was already headlining stadiums in 1996, but took a very different approach to promote the release of their Load album. The band played the parking lot of a Tower Records in Sacramento, CA on June 4, 1996, and you can check out the footage above. Crazy to think the album just turned 25 years old.
