Slipknot are out kicking ass and taking names in Europe and have posted a pretty cool video documenting the behind the scenes process for their band. The video features a pre-show huddle and motivational speech, the band members putting on their attire, the setup of a show and other fun gems.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Corey Taylor noted the band took a lot of inspiration from Iron Maiden for their live show:
“Honestly, it’s everything that we’ve wanted to do for years, and we just never had the budget, and we had also had a lot of people around us telling us we couldn’t do it. The show looks amazing. Not only is it interactive—there’s video, there’s fire—but the whole set looks like an industrial complex. This is our attempt to create some Iron Maiden stuff, which is something we’ve been trying to do for a while.”
