Fate Destroyed, the Los Angeles-based industrial/metal band has a very wide range of influences, and none clearer than their latest offering, a blues cover gone heavy!
Paying their homage to Huddie William Ledbetter, better known as stage name "Lead Belly", the American folk and blues singer has gone on to influence so many in his own genre, but now leaps that threshold with Fate Destroyed's rendition of his classic standard.
Vocalist Franccesca De Struct comments:
"I saw In The Pines as the ultimate musical challenge. Was it possible to take a widely known folk song, something completely the antithesis of my genre, and make it industrial? The answer was a resounding yes. This passion project came from a place of musical discovery. It gave me the chance to take a base concept and see just how much i could mold it into something entirely new"
