Erra is now streaming their new single "Shadow Autonomous" off their upcoming self-titled album. The band classifies the new song as a ballad, which guitarist Jesse Cash said isn't exactly the whole of the situation.
“It’s one of the more experimental tracks on the record in terms of style and structure. 'Shadow Autonomous' is about adaptability," said Cash. "‘Complacencies that we will never seek to replace’, establishes the solution of the song’s proposed problem – which is to live outside of your comfort zone often, and as a result, develop the skill of finding home wherever you are.”
Erra was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carson Slovak (Rivers of Nihil, August Burns Red) and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Black Crown Initiate). The album includes both "Snowblood" and "House of Glass", both of which were previously standalone singles.
