Slipknowt, clearly a Slipknot cover band based out of Newcastle, was playing a gig over the weekend in Northampton, England when their version of Shawn "Clown" Crahan jumped into the sorta-crowd with his keg. One dude grabs the bat and starts beating the keg alongside a cop, while also playfully threatening the cop with the bat, which is a very smart decision.
Then another dude grabs the bat and very overzealously strikes the keg, where it bounces back and hits the guy right between the eyes. The best part is that according to the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, the cops were all about it.
"The crowd loved it," [the policeman's colleague in attendance] said. "It just showed that human side to us, rather than us standing there with our arms crossed. "I think it's nice for them to see that we are there to enjoy it and to look after them."
Corey Taylor has not responded for comment on the incident just yet.
