DIARCHY Channels MELVINS On New Song "Sunny Side Up"

If you like the Melvins, you're going to like this.

Bangalore-based duo Diarchy are here to give you some serious Melvins vibes with their new song "Sunny Side Up." Coupled with the comic-book-esque music video for the track, there's really nothing not to love here. Here's what video director Anoop Bhat and guitarist and vocalist Prakash Rawat had to say about the video and track.

“I didn't want it to just be a video of these two jamming as I wanted to push forward the album colours and the general aesthetic, we've built so far around it. That's when we roped in Anusha Menon. She'd just finished working on our lyric video and she understood exactly what we were working with. Conceptually, the idea was to bring to life the cover art for Mudhoney's Superfuzz Bigmuff EP – keep it super DIY, gritty, chaotic and tie it in with Anusha's minimal animation work. I think it's come together beautifully.” –Bhat

“The song, in its essence, is about how easily people are manipulated and how pervasive false narrative or propaganda is in the current world scenario. At the same time, it's asking people to stop being judgemental, take educated decisions, stay positive, stop passing blames, worry and take care of things that are still under our control, to take a moment and look at the bright side of life.” –Rawat
