Black Crown Initiate might be releasing their first new album in four years soon, but their new track "Holy Silence" is a major throwback. The track was originally written in 2008 prior to Black Crown Initiate forming, and sounds like an extra progressive version of what the band was doing on their debut 2013 EP Song of the Crippled Bull.
"We had always wanted to use it,” said guitarist and vocalist Andy Thomas. “With [guitarist Ethan McKenna] returning to the band it felt right. The song deals with notions of a creator and our connections to whatever that force may be. I am particularly proud of James’ vocals and Ethan’s perfect guitar solo."
Black Crown Initiate will release Violent Portraits of Doomed Escape on August 7. Pre-orders are available here.
