Back when Ride The Lightning was being recorded in early 1984 and Metallica was out in London doing some press, bassist Cliff Burton and Anthrax's Scott Ian went on a hunt for a new walkman. Upon entering the subway, the cops suspected Ian and Burton of possession of drugs, and Ian decided to tell the cops what he thought about that.
So the cops raided their apartment they were renting and managed to come up with nothing, even though Ian says Burton had a ton of weed. Honestly, it's probably better you listen to Scott Ian tell you this story – he was there.
