Akiavel has been one of the highlights of 2020 for me. Their first full-length album, "V", quickly became one of my favorite melodic death metal albums of this year and "Adorable Abomination" is another highlight!
Stripped down compared to their previous videos, "Adorable Abomination" really allows you to focus on the music. Aure's vocals are always a treat, but the real highlight of this single, to me, is the synchronicity of the drums and guitar, each increasing in technicality together creating a balance of melodic and rhythmic.
