It's April 1st and Tool are having some fun with their fans, while they're in the studio.
Earlier today, they posted a joke status update announcing that Sammy Hagar would be taking over for Maynard on vocal duty:
Then, Adam Jones decided to post a teaser from inside the recording studio. Tool is finally in the studio working with producer/engineer Joe Barresi and earlier today Jones released this video from the recording sessions which teases maybe a millisecond of new Tool music:
You have to hand it to Tool for knowing how to play with their audience. Between this, and earlier this week when a Tool fan tried to explain the band's business practices to Maynard, it's been a fun week of Tool interacting with fans.
The important thing is everything is in motion and we should be hearing new music soon.
