Tony Iommi will reissue his 2005 album Fused and official bootleg The 1996 DEP Sessions from 2004 on October 4 via BMG. Both albums were recorded with ex-Deep Purple bassist and singer Glenn Hughes, who performed on Black Sabbath's 1986 album Seventh Star (which was supposed to be an Iommi solo album).
While Fused was an official studio album released by the Sanctuary label, The 1996 DEP Sessions were originally circulated as a bootleg named Eighth Star and later released in 2004 by the Sanctuary and Mayan labels. The 1996 DEP Sessions also originally featured drummer Dave Holland, but was later re-recorded by Jimmy Copley after Holland was convicted of an attempted rape in 2003.
