Tim "Ripper" Owens (KK's Priest, ex-Judas Priest, etc.) is working on a new album under the name Ripper with Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) and Nick Bellmore (Jasta, Dee Snider). The album will include frequent Jasta collaborators Nick Bellmore (Dee Snider, ex-Toxic Holocaust), Charlie Bellmore (Dee Snider, ex-Toxic Holocaust), and Chris Beaudette (Jasta, Enteirro).
"Ripper has been one of my favorite voices in metal since Jugulator arrived 25 years ago," said Jasta. "His power, range, and work ethic inspire me daily and I cannot wait for the world to hear the crushing new metal tracks we are creating!"

Dude has one hell of a voice and is currently doing a great job with KK's Priest, so why not get stoked about a solo album? Though I'd also like to petition Ripper to bring back Charred Walls of the Damned record. Just sayin'.
