Historically, The Crown has been an unflinchingly good melodic death metal band that wears its thrash influence on its sleeve. While the band's 2015 album Death Is Not Dead, its first album in five years at the time, was a rare misstep, The Crown appears to be readying some new material in 2017 that will hopefully be leagues better.
If the band's social media is to be believe, it looks like drummer Henrik Axelsson will be in on the new stuff as well, as opposed to drumming on a few tracks and leaving the rest to a programmed kit.
