TESTAMENT Frontman Promises New Album Early Next Year

But I want it now!

But I want it now!

While former Testament bassist Greg Daniels was busy running his ex-bandmates names through the ground, the rest of the band were busy working on new material.

In a new interview with Robb's Metal Works, frontman Chuck Billy announced that the band is currently deep in writing mode and hope to have a new album out by March of next year:

"We're writing the record right now. And hopefully it'll be out March next year. And it's gonna be some good stuff."

That's exciting. Dark Roots of Earth was one of my favorite albums of 2012, so I'm curious as to how the band will follow it up. In previous interviews, Billy has said with Steve DiGorgio back in the band, he hopes to evoke the sound of the band's 1999 release The Gathering.

I'm curious if Gene Hoglan is still onboard with the band? He clearly had a good enough time with Testament to tour with them on their last cycle and added so so much to the band's performance, I really hope they keep him around.

New Testament in 2015, who's ready?
