Holy shitballs… talk about knowing how to pick a good fill-in! Testament are about to enter the studio to record the follow-up to their ultra-awesome The Formation of Damnation release. One problem…their drummer Paul Bostaph was sidelined with a serious injury and can't currently perform. Not ones to sit on the sidelines, the band got pro-active and is recruiting two of the best drummers in the world… Gene "The Machine" Hoglan and Chris "The Abyss (I just made that up)" Adler. Does anybody else have a woody?
Long time Testament fans know that this will not be Hoglan's first time appearing on record with the Bay Area thrashers, as he appeared on 1997’s Demonic.
According to Metal Insider, Hoglan will be handling most of the drumming duties while Adler will appear on a few bonus tracks. Andy Seap will handle production duties and the band hopes to release the album by the end of 2011.
