Sunn O)))'s 2015 album Kannon was the band's first non-collaborative album since 2009's Monoliths & Dimensions. Kannon was all about harmony and much shorter songs, while Monoliths & Dimensions used way more dissonance and a ton of instrumentation. So it'll be really interesting to see where Sunn O))) goes with their next album, which they've hinted they're working on right now via Facebook!
If you're looking for more Sunn O))) to check out, the band is releasing their 1998 rehearsal tape Downtown LA Rehearsal/Riff Tape March 1998 on silver vinyl this year available (so far) only through Southern Lord's subscription series.
