SLAYER Is "Pretty Much Done" Recording Their New Album

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING.

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING.

Slayer have been in the studio for the last two months, and they've been teasing us and it looks like they might be finally ready to show us the wares.

Guitarist Kerry King was recently interviewed at a Las Vegas car convention where he was showcasing the new Scion Slayer mobile and during an interview he revealed that the band is nearing completion on a new record:

"We just pretty much got done recording. We're gonna go in for, like, ten days at the end of this [tour with Suicidal Tendencies and Exdous]… and record some more stuff. We've got enough for a record now. We're just gonna go in and record some more, 'cause we have time. And that should be out early next year."

It's safe to say the band will aim to have the album complete by January, and that we might be hearing new music from the band in early 2015. It wouldn't be a leap to assume the band will hit the road again in the spring to support the album release either.

For now, we can just play the new track they released earlier this year "Implode" on loop.
