Vio-lence reunited in 2019 a little while after guitarist Phil Demmel left Machine Head in 2018. The band has played some shows here and there celebrating their 1988 record Eternal Nightmare, and now according to Demmel they're turning an eye toward some new stuff.
Demmel tells Talk Toomey that he's writing the band's first new full-length since 1993 and that there's an EP coming as well.
"I'm writing a new Vio-lence record. We're about to sign a deal to do a five-song EP. So we'll see how that goes and when that can come out."
Vio-lence is currently original members Demmel and drummer Perry Strickland, bassist Deen Dell who joined in 1985 (the same year Vio-lence was formed), and vocalist Sean Killian who joined in 1986. Guitarist Ray Vegas recently left the band and is being filled in for live by ex-Overkill guitarist Bobby Gustafson.
