After six years of doing whatever the hell it was they were doing, Queens of the Stone Age have decided that 2013 is the time for a new record.
Alright, before we even get into the information for the album (and you've read the text-heavy image above for all the important stuff), look at this guest spot list-
Also newly announced for the album are guest turns from Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys andJames Lavelle of UNKLE.
Other guests on tap for the effort include: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) handling the studio drumming on the bulk of the songs; Elton John, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, etc.); frequent collaborator Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees); ex-Queens Of The Stone Agebassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters.
Wow. It's also noted that their now former drummer Joey Castillo drums on the album along with ex-The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore. Could this album get any more star-studded?
Anyway, …Like Clockwork, has slowly begun to surface in the form of some weird website stuff. You might get a really short clip when you click that link or you might get some kickass jams that go on for a little; there's really no way to know. If you keep refreshing the page it'll keep giving you different clips, so have a ball. I have no idea how many different clips there are. For all I know, they could be uploading different stuff daily, so keep checking back.
