'Tis the season to record new music. As the weather gets colder, bands are taking a break from the road, which means bands have more time to work on new material. Case in point: Periphery, a band who is way overdue for new music. The recently bass-less group will be joined by a production team of Taylor Larson and Nolly Getgood (who will also be filling in on bass for a few shows). Of course, guitarist Misha Mansoor will be very hands on as well. Here is an official quote from guitarist Jake Bowen:
“We've got a ton of new songs ready that we can't wait for you guys to hear. We'll spend the winter in the studio with Taylor Larson (our good friend Nolly Getgood is co-producing with Misha Mansoor). We've decided to go a new direction with our music and we're calling this new genre DjentSlam! JUST KIDDING! Get stoked!”
So there you go, sometime in 2012, new Periphery music will be invading your eardrums. Not a bad deal right? 'Til then, check out this walkthrough Misha gave us of the backstage scene at their recent tour, as well as photos from said tour.
