OCEANO Is Working On Their Magnum Opus

Hopefully coming soon.

Oceano Adam Warren

Oceano is having a weird 2023. The band announced North American dates with Through The Eyes Of The Dead and Tracheotomy in April, but dropped off the tour in May due to "personal and internal changes that have unfortunately hindered our ability to proceed with our plans."

While it's still not clear what those changes were, Oceano vocalist Adam Warren has made it clear that he's taken control of the band. In a statement on Twitter, Warren said he's listening to mixes of the first Oceano record since Revelation in 2017 and that he's "taking the reigns [sic]."

"Listening to Oceano final mixes," wrote Warren. "15 years of sacrifice, persistence + taking the reigns of Oceano so it could see its Magnum Opus be achieved. Patience is not always easy. Both I AND Oceano fans will soon HEAR just how rewarding it can be."

Given the resurgence in deathcore's popularity lately, a great Oceano record would put the band right at the top of the heap. Especially if it's anything like their standalone 2022 single "Mass Produced". That song was modern mosh riff city with loads of old school technical deathcore riffs thrown in.
