JUDAS PRIEST to Appear on National Radio (One Day Before Re-release of British Steel!)

41 years down the line from their UK-based birth, Judas Priest is still screaming for vengeance and committing sin after sin in the realm of extreme and heavy metal alike. With their recently culminated British Steel 30th Anniversary Tour, which wrapped up in 2009, they are hitting the airwaves, nationally, having confirmed their to-be appearance on “Rockline:” one among a few nationally syndicated, rock-centered radio shows. Hosted by Bob Coburn, the band will be visiting the station on Monday, May 10th, at 8:30 P.M. That’s PST; for those of us here, on the East coast, you can drop out and tune in at 11:30 p.m. What’s more, fans (you!) have been given a warm invite to call in the studio to speak with Judas Priest. Their on-air appearance will be taking place just one day before the re-release (courtesy of Sony Music) of their 6th studio album release – British Steel – refueling the Judas fury with what will be a limited, deluxe, expanded edition of the classic, which broke through the metal world and into the airwaves worldwide with the anarchic calls of “Breaking the Law,” through to the call to “[Live’] after midnight” and “howl after dawn.” Do not be fooled, however, as the collection features no filler tracks, bringing you instead live tracks, à la “United,” “The Rage,” “Metal Gods,” “Rapid Gods,” and more. To top off the live track sector of things, the DVD release will feature a 2009, full-performance of British Steel (down south in Hollywood, Florida), as well as a 30-minute documentary featuring the full lineup. So, you’ll ultimately have two options for your British Steel: Legacy Edition listening (and viewing, headbanging pleasure):

*Limited edition deluxe three-disc set, featuring the original, re-mastered album, a live CD, and a live DVD (to be confirmed by Sony Music)
*Deluxe two-disc set, featuring the original album and live DVD.
