Corey Taylor recently revealed in an interview that he'd very soon be hitting the studio to record vocals for Slipknot's next album. He also talked about working with producer Greg Fidelman as opposed to Rick Rubin, and compared and contrasted the two producers' style of work.
Now in an Instagram post, Taylor has confirmed that Slipknot is indeed in the studio working on their new album. Percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan also recently talked a little bit about the album's concept, which "breaks down to…good vs. evil, or in this sense, evil vs. good. It's about being a human being and experiencing what you have in correlating it to this world. This world is ugly and it's supposed to be, and it has to be in order for art to lead to grandness and beauty."
Slipknot is aiming to release the album this summer.
