LAMB OF GOD Currently Has "Lots Of New Material Coming Together"

"So, yeah, there'll be no shortage of Lamb Of God this year, for sure."

"So, yeah, there'll be no shortage of Lamb Of God this year, for sure."

Lamb Of God released their covers album XX: Legion last year under their old name Burn The Priest, meaning the last all-originals record we've gotten from the group is 2015's VII: Sturm und Drang. Fortunately drummer Chris Adler says Lamb Of God is aiming to have a new record out by this Christmas, while guitarist Mark Morton said the band was hitting the studio "very soon" back in September 2018.

According to Morton in a brand new interview with Full Metal Jackie, he and guitarist Willie Adler are currently hashing out the new songs. He also adds there's "lots of new material coming together" and that there will be "be no shortage of Lamb Of God this year, for sure."

"We are currently working on new material that I'm thrilled about. I just had some sessions with Willie [Adler, guitar], putting together new songs. There's a really cool energy going on with the new stuff. So Lamb Of God is full throttle. We've got shows coming together — I think we've already announced some of them for this year — and more to come. And lots of new material coming together. So, yeah, there'll be no shortage of Lamb Of God this year, for sure."

So who knows. Maybe they're writing enough material to have some left over for release in 2020.

Lamb of God have time off until they head out with Slayer for Slayer's final run of North American dates. We are giving away tickets to each stop of the show. Enter below:
