Ghost is on a roll with giving its fans new releases. Meliora came out in August 2015, the Popestar EP just came out a few weeks ago, and the band is already planning its fourth LP! I feel like Ghost is still this brand new band, but 2017 will mark 7 years since Opus Eponymous came out… holy crap, I think we're getting old.
In an interview with Billboard, A Nameless Ghoul says the new material is coming along nicely, and the band wants to hit the studio once it's off tour. The Popestar tour ends on November 12, though the band will be announcing a European tour to follow that up as well. So the studio will have to wait!
"We haven't really started the pre-production yet, but I am very far into the writing. I'm usually piling stuff up, and then by the time it comes to pre-production, that's when you start going through it and see what you have. I think that we have a pretty good idea of what we're doing next, but once we start recording I usually get very inspired and work a lot faster."
I wonder what the next incarnation of Ghost will look like?
