The Devin Townsend Project hasn't done anything since its 2014 album Sky Blue, which came packaged along with Townsend's own Z2. Obviously the project took a while to complete, so it would be a little bit until we heard from DTP once more… and here we are!
According to Twitter and MetalSucks, Transcendence is the next album from the project. The album has not been recorded yet, but we do get to hear a little bit about the themes and when it'll be underway soon via Townsend himself!
Getting sessions and gear ready for recording. Going to stop and step away, because as of next week, it will be full-on.

I think the new album will ultimately be about fighting to not let the chaos of our times get you down. To get over ourselves and our fear.

I still believe in something peaceful, beautiful and elegant. It just takes huge effort in these day and age to not let the chaos take over.

…and food. Probably food too.

I'm excited for the part about food.
