The man has some plans.

Not content simply with announcing a string of tour dates for 2020, Devin Townsend is already looking to 2021. Townsend has announced via Twitter he's working on the next installment of his career retrospective vinyl box set series Eras, an ultimate edition of his new album Empath, and is planning on hitting the studio for a new record in 2021.

It'll be interesting to see if Townsend tries to out-insane Empath or just goes in a completely new direction as he does.

Townsend also recently announced he'll be hitting the road in 2020 with The Contortionist and Haken. His current live lineup is guitarist Ché Aimee Dorval (Casualties Of Cool), guitarists Mike Keneally (Dethklok) and Markus Reuter (Stick Men), bassist Nathan Navarro, keyboardist Diego Tejeida (Haken), and drummer Morgan Ågren (Kaipa).
