CRADLE OF FILTH Unveil The Title of Their New Album

cradle of filth 2020

British extreme metal icons, Cradle Of Filth, have revealed the title of their forthcoming 13th studio album: Existence is Futile. Vocalist Dani Filth has described this monumental project as "our best album of current years, if not all time."

"It's an absolute killer of an album (if you forgive my self-flattery), with an immense production courtesy of Scott Atkins and Grindstone studios once again, and I'd like to be able to describe it to you but there is so much bubbling intently in this album," he continued. "Fast and slow parts (and faster still), new delectable flavours and those reminiscent of earlier COF albums galore, massive choruses and melancholic drop-downs, old skool melodic NWOBM amid furious, scathing black metal amid apocalyptic groove and we as a band can't wait for everyone to hear it…. And more importantly, experience our birthed monster live."

This landmark album – the 13th (very fitting and a total mood) studio album of the band – was once again recorded at Grindstone Studios with producer Scott Atkins. The album artwork is from Arthur Berzinsh, who created the artwork for the last two Cradle of Filth albums.

“The stunning new album is everything you can expect from the many shades of black that go to discolor a CRADLE OF FILTH release and far, far, worse,” frontman Dani Filth stated yesterday.

Existence Is Futile will feature a new, as-yet-named, keyboardist/backing singer, and will be released later this year via Nuclear Blast Records.

Earlier, the band announced that their livestream event from the St. Mary's Church in Colchester is postponed to May 12th – due to the pandemic situation. You can still order your tickets for the live stream in many variations together with exclusive ticket-bundles and VIP packages HERE.
