Christopher Lee, or Saruman from Lord of the Rings, is all ready to release his next album titled Charlemagne: The Omens of Death next Monday in the UK. Deep down we all wish to be this badass at 91 years old.
At the ripe old age of 90 years old, Christopher Lee is still showing is absolute love for heavy metal by continuing on his telling of the story of Charlemagne through metal. According to The Guardian UK:
The first Charlemagne album is metal, of course, but what I sang was more symphonic. Now on the second one, The Omens of Death, it is 100 percent heavy metal. I've done my bits and pieces, and they are heavy metal. I'm not screaming or anything like that, but it is definitely heavy metal.
I love that Lee basically says the first album wasn't heavy enough for him and he wants to get in something even heavier for this one. Maybe if we start up a Kickstarter called "Christopher Lee needs to scream," we can raise the money to make him let out just one growl on the next album? Worth a shot anyway. I'm pumped as fuck for this album. Lee is the man at everything he does, and this really shouldn't be any different.
