Atmospheric/Avant-Garde Black Metal force, Blut Aus Nord announced on their Facebook page this past Saturday that the process for making a new album is underway. It has been about two years since the band's last full-length album, Memoria Vestuta III (Saturnian Poetry), was released. Thankfully it appears the wait for new music is drawing to an end. Fans of Blut Aus Nord will also be excited to know (if they don't already) that on top of this new album announcement, the group has a split with the terrifying Black/Death Metal band,Ævangelist, lined up for release on June 17th through Debemur Morti Productions.
Blut Aus Nord has been a consistent driving force in the Black Metal genre. Over the band's two-plus decades of existence, they have expanded the genre's horizons into unseen realms and have created masterclass albums that continue to stand as some of the genre's greatest works. The excitement this announcement brings cannot be fully conveyed through mere words. Even the slightest mention of a new Blut Aus Nord album makes it an immediate candidate for the best album to come out in a given year. Make sure to stay tuned.
