Behemoth doesn't exactly get along with the Polish government or the Catholics. Maybe because the Polish government recently took the band to court over a t-shirt design they believed defiled a national emblem, or because the same government took the band to court over destroying a Bible on stage a while back. Or y'know, because the band isn't the paragon of Catholicism at all.
Now in an Instagram post from Behemoth frontman Nergal, he calls out both Catholics and the Polish right-wing populist, national-conservative, and Christian democratic political party Law and Justice (PiS) while simultaneously talking about the children's choir on the coming Behemoth album. Nergal thanks the kids, saying "love to thank all the kids for the passion they delivered and all their parents for such a liberal upbringing… hands down," and to the aforementioned groups he's not a fan of, he says "bring it on fuckers."
Behemoth is currently wrapping up a new album with producer Daniel Bergstrand (Dimmu Borgir, Meshuggah).
Well, one thing I know for a fact. I LOVE children and animals. And they seem to return that love??I might be hated by PIS-followers and catholics of all kind but somehow I feed on their obscurity and ignorance… soooo, bring it on fuckers!?Either way, we are exploring some ideas for the new @behemothofficial album that r rather spectacular I would say… be patient, both fans and our haters. You WILL receive us well VERY soon…? PS. I would love to thank all the kids for the passion they delivered and all their parents for such a liberal upbringing… hands down!?
