System Of A Down mysteriously began teasing rehearsals a little while back, and we couldn't pinpoint exactly why. Were some shows coming up? Was a new album on the horizon?
While we can't speak to the latter, we can absolutely confirm the former by way of the band's appearance at Download Festival 2017. Hell, the band even commented on the appearance!
"It’ll have been a couple of years since our memorable Wake Up The Souls show at Wembley, so returning to the UK to headline Download, a festival we always love to play, is really exciting for us. The energy and atmosphere there is always electric.”
System Of A Down will headline the July 9 show, Biffy Clyro on July 10, and Aerosmith on July 11. Other acts performing throughout the festival include Prophets of Rage, Five Finger Death Punch, AFI, Of Mice & Men, Fozzy, Rob Zombie, Sleeping With Sirens, Simple Plan, Every Time I Die, The Story So Far, Slayer, and Motionless In White.
Download Festival 2017 will be held between July 9 and 11 at Donnington Park. Tickets are available here.
