Slipknot has announced their first-ever livestream event, though it's one you can attend in person as well. Slipknot will stream their entire Knotfest Los Angeles set live from the the Banc of California Stadium on November 5, as well as a "a selection of songs each" from support acts Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, Code Orange, Vended, and Cherry Bombs. Tickets are available here for $15, and the stream will be available for a full 72 hours after the event has ended.
Plus, there's a very real possibility we might hear new music by (or around) November 5. According to vocalist Corey Taylor in a recent interview with The Eddie Trunk Podcast, Slipknot will release a new single "in the next month or so" prior to announcing their new record.
"Actually, it's pretty much done. I'd say it's probably about eighty percent done. We're finishing up some music, [and] I've got a couple more songs to sing. However, I will say this – don't be surprised if in the next month or so you hear something new."
