The news that Slipknot was announced as the final headliner for Download Festival 2013 should have maggots everywhere excited, even if they're not planning to attend. The band will headline the opening night of the fest, Friday June 14th with Iron Maiden headlining the next night, and Rammstein closing out the three-day rager. Why is this great news? Let me explain.
The band has hinted that if they write a new record, they would all get in the studio at some point in the Spring of next year. Seeing as though they are already making plans beyond the Spring, is a great sign. Everybody will be done with their side projects, and the focus will be on creating new 'knot.
Most recently, Clown has said that even though Paul Gray has passed, music that he wrote before his untimely death will make the final cut of the album.
