Kirk Hammett is bringing the Fear FestEvil back for another year. Yes, there will be horror memorabilia, yes there will be movie screenings, but most importantly, there will be Meshuggah!
Why am I excited that Meshuggah will be playing on the other side of the country? Because Meshuggah is from Sweden, and it costs a lot to travel to the States. Meshuggah wouldn't just lug all that gear over here for just one show. They are smarter than that. They will probably set up a week or two of dates and Satan-willing, that will include some east coast shows. Plus, they are planning to release a new album this year, so wouldn't a tour be in the cards for promotion?
Anyway, back to Fear FestEvil. The other bands confirmed so far are High On Fire, Orchid, Blues Pills, Agnostic Front, and Asada Messiah.
It all goes down at the RockBar Theater in San Jose, CA, on April 11th and 12th. A special VIP "murder mystery" dinner will occur at the Winchester Mystery House on April 10th, for those of you willing to fork over some extra cash.
