MESSSHUUUGGGAAAH announce album title; first U.S. tour dates surface

meshuggah

It seems like forever since we mentioned anything about one of our favorite bands, MESHUGGGAAAAAHHH. Tomas Haake, the band's demolishing drummer, posted the following on the band's message board:

We've finished the recording a couple weeks back! It sounds really good and we're super-excited about the new stuff! The new album is titled "obZen", there's 9 songs and the album clocks in at around 55 minutes.

This album cannot come out soon enough! No official release date has been given, but its expected to come out in early 2008. In other news, the first string of Meshuggah U.S. tour dates has finally been announced, and they will be supporting MINISTRY on their farwell tour. All I know is there better be a headlining run before or after this one, because America will not just settle for a Meshuggah support set.
