Multiple outlets are reporting that Megadeth will be heading back on the road this fall with direct support from viking metalheads Amon Amarth.
The bill will be rounded out with support from Metal Church and Havok.
This is a great bill to appeal to older metalheads (seriously Metal Church and Megadeth on the same bill?) as well as younger metal fans.
No dates have been announced yet, but this will be Megadeth's second major run of US dates after a successful string of dates this past spring. During the Spring tour, the band had Chris Adler behind the kit, but it is still up in the air if he'll be joining them for this run. Mustaine has said in interviews that the band will make a final decision about their drummer situation shortly.
Checking Lamb of God's schedule, they currently only have about a week or so of dates in late October / early November, so if the stars align, we might see Adler out with the band.
