Rock extremists GENGHIS TRON have posted the first demo track, "Colony Collapse", from their forthcoming Relapse debut exclusively via the band’s MySpace page.
GENGHIS TRON have been hard at work writing the follow-up to their acclaimed "Dead Mountain Mouth" album and are set to meet up with Kurt Ballou (CONVERGE) at his God City Studios next month to begin recording.
GENGHIS TRON elaborate more on their progress thus far:
We're entering the final stretches of the massive year-long writing process for our new album. With only six weeks to go before entering Godcity Studios in late August, we're putting the finishing touches on arrangements and wrapping up the final few songs. Writing this music has simultaneously been the most thoroughly exhausting and exciting experience we've had as a band, and we couldn't be more eager to get this album recorded.
We thought it would be fun to give people a glimpse into what we've been doing, so we've added a rough self-recorded demo on our Myspace page. The track, "Colony Collapse", only hints as to what we have in store with the rest of the album, but it's a good first peek.
The "Colony Collapse" demo is also going to be appearing on "Triple Black Diamond", the tour-only E.P. which we'll be selling on our upcoming dates with Ed Gein and Gaza. The E.P. will also feature killer remixes of tracks from "Dead Mountain Mouth" and live material from a radio session in Montreal. These will be our last shows before we record, and we'll be playing many new songs every night, so we hope to see you there!.
GENGHIS TRON will be meeting up with ED GEIN and GAZA to kick-off their brief tour. This run will also include performances at Dudefest in Indiana and the Gorefest in Michigan. A listing of tour dates and cities can be found here.
