The insanity that is Maryland Deathfest 2022 continues to grow! The festival has just announced that Deeds Of Flesh will be making their first East Coast appearance in 15 years, and that The Ruins Of Beverast has been added to the lineup as well. The festival will take place between May 26 and 29 at various venues across Baltimore, MD and tickets are available here.
Maryland Deathfest has also made some changes to the way the festival will in 2022.
"We've made the decision to utilize the stage here for the bands that were originally scheduled to headline Soundstage each day (Mortician, Vio-lence, Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, and Exhorder – in addition to the recently confirmed Deeds Of Flesh). Now that more than 2 years have passed since originally scheduling those bands to play at Soundstage, the format of the fest is different, and the attendance will be larger due to the several year hiatus and expanded lineup, we did not think it would be wise to have these bands play in the smallest capacity venue at our disposal. Rather than have a mess on our hands with capacity in May, we are addressing the potential issue now by utilizing the Power Plant stage, as it can more comfortably accommodate the crowd.
"All of the other bands that were originally scheduled at Soundstage will still be playing at Soundstage. At some point in the coming months, we'll add a couple of extra bands to Soundstage to compensate for several of them shifting over to Power Plant. Anyone with a 4-day pass or Soundstage tickets will be able to access the Power Plant stage for the bands performing there.
"The bands performing at Power Plant will play AFTER Edison Lot has ended and BEFORE the Rams Head headliners. If you're coming to MDF for the first time, note that the Power Plant stage and Rams Head are right across the street from Soundstage."
