Trappist, the band featuring bassist and vocalist Chris Dodge (Spazz, ex-Infest, ex-Despise You, etc.), guitarist and vocalist Phil Vera (Crom, Despise You, ex- -16-), and drummer and vocalist Ryan Harkins (co-owner of Grill ‘Em All), recently released their debut album Ancient Brewing Tactics and it's way good. If you're into modern hardcore punk like Iron Reagan then you're definitely going to dig it.
Trappist initially announced they'd be playing Decibel Beer & Metal Fest Los Angeles on December 1 and December 2, and have now announced three East Coast dates prior to the festival. Of course all three shows are at beer-themed events and locations – specifically No Corporate Beer NYC in New York and then Dogfish Head Brewing in Delware and Atlas Brew Works in D.C. – because why wouldn't they be?
