Babymetal get a lot of hate on this, and many other websites. But of all the people to talk shit about the group, I never expected to see the group be disrespected on stage while accepting an award. But that's exactly what happened at last week's Kerrang! Awards.
Skindred frontman Benji Webbe clearly does not join the likes of bands like Metallica, Slayer, or Lamb of God that have shown some love to the pre-teen metal trio. Webbe presented the "Best Live Band" award and Babymetal won the award. As Babymetal was accepting the award, Webbe would chime in with snarky remarks and in a seemingly faux-Japanese accent while bowing:

Besides the racist undertones of such actions, it seems like the most unprofessional behavior for a musician who has been working in live performance for over a decade to do. An award show is not a moment to get on your soapbox and insult other musicians, save that for your personal Twitter page.
This is not a good look on you, Benji. Update: After getting a bit of hate online, Benji tweeted what looks like an apology:
Sorry to anyone who thought I disrespect baby metal at the awards tonight, truly I didn't mean to fuck with them
