In a shocker to maybe 5 Ozzy fans, it looks like Ozzfest is not happening this year. It barely happened last year, with only a handful of dates in major cities and with this Summer's touring looking as packed as ever, it's not hard to understand why Ozzy won't be doing it. There is nobody good available to book a tour with! Here's Ozzy's offical excuse:
"No (Ozzfest), not this year. I just finished a lengthy arena tour of the U.S., so I've decided to tour Europe this summer instead."
Oh that's why! For the consumer, I say this doesn't matter. Rockstar Mayhem Fest is built in the mold of Ozzfest, except none of the bands have to pay to play, and everybody comes out talking about what a great experience that festival is.
