Some eagle-eyed Korn fans spotted that Marshall Mathers, before he broke big as Eminem was an extra on the set of the band's breakthrough music video "Got The Life."
Eminem can be spotted near the end of the video, when the band shows up to a block party, giving fives to the band. A clip below points out his cameo.
Mathers was down with the nu-metal bands of the era, even appearing in a Limp Bizkit song.
According to Loudwire, James "Munky" Shaffer discussed the cameo in a 2014 interview saying “There were some extras on the set of our video ‘Got the Life.’ Some kid came up to me and gave me his demo. I was really drunk and I was like [out of it]. He’s like, ‘Hey, check it out, I’m a rapper.’ I’m like, ‘I’m just a guitar player.’ It turned out that kid that was on our video was Eminem. He was an extra in that video. I vaguely remember that happening.”
Brian "Head" Welch snapped back jokingly, “Thanks a lot, man. Would could’ve been billionaires. We could’ve signed him before Dre.”
