Prepare yourself for a podcast that will blast your mind and destroy your sanity!

Greetings and salutations, Metal Injection Junkies! My name is Shayne Mathis and I've been a writer here at MI since early 2013. I launched a podcast this past March called Full Metal Hipster and now it's my distinct pleasure to present it to the fertile ears of the Metal Injection readership. Full Metal Hipster offers up the best music and interviews from bands you're not cool enough to have heard of yet. If you dig black metal, doom metal, thrash metal, power metal, death metal, or any other variety of extreme music, this is the podcast for you.

On this, the 20th episode of the podcast, I’m delving into the Stygian depths of Lovecraftian heavy metal. Horror/sci-fi writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft has been a huge influence on metal musicians from the very beginning of the genre’s history, and I’m dredging up some of the best examples of contemporary metal bands that mine Lovecraft’s work for inspiration. Dim the lights, light some candles, and enjoy!

If you’re an iTunes user, don’t forget to subscribe to Full Metal Hipster, and leave me some good reviews/5 star ratings for God’s sake! If you’re not an Apple fanboy, you can stream or download each episode from my website FullMetalHipster.com, my Stitcher page, or on the podcast host site.

I’m on Twitter at @MetalShayne2000 and Facebook, too, ya bums!

For always and forever, the demo was better!
