UDO the band of the ex-singer of ACCEPT, that was all that i knew about them. I didn't expect too much from this show but I couldn't be more wrong, the show was amazing, with an incredible light show which is very rare at this venue. View the full gallery
Unfortunately, I was running late for this show and missed the first three bands but I captured this picture of Killswitch Engage in their first US headlining tour that shows the power of this band live.
My favorite picture of Mayhem Fest this year. View the full gallery.
Fans packed the Best Buy Theater that night and I personally like this pictures for the composition. Matt poses and Paolo in the back with that strong blue light made this one of my favorites shot of the year. View the full gallery.
Erik, the singer of Swedish black metal masters Watain is possesed every time that he is on stage. You feel a connection with his music and what he transmits in every song. I tried to capture that feeling with a picture. View the full gallery.
Five Finger Death Punch
I've shot the band before at the Mayhem Festival and they have one of the most amazing set of lights that I ever see in a concert. After the 3 song limit in the photo pit, I decided to shoot them from the back and i captured this frame, not sure if that hand there makes the picture better or not but the pose of Ivan pointing to the sky and the light on the drummer made this picture looks great to me and one of the best of this year. Testament, Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God together at the same show… REALLY!?!? My favorites pictures are where the crowd participates and this is the perfect example of that. View the full gallery.
Lamb of God
After enjoy Testament & Killswitch Engage, I witnessed the return of Lamb of God. Unfortunately, security said "Not photographers allowed in the photo pit." I was a little disappointed, but it ended up not being a big deal considering I love to shoot outside of the pit. I selected this picture in particular for the simple reason that the band shared it in Facebook (how ironic is that after not be allowed to shot them) and it reached more than 10,000 likes. Morbid Angel performing the Covenant album in its entirety… I say Fuck Yeah! The light was okay, but Mr. David Vincent know exactly how to smile for the camera, and for a second consecutive year he's selected from my favorites shots of the year. View the full gallery
Kreator was on tour with Overkill and Warbringer at Stage 48 (one of my favorite places to shoot) with a packed house on the first of two shows in New York. This captures the moment of Mille Pretozza of Kreator announcing the next song "Flag of Hate". View the full gallery.
Gojira playing for the third time in New York this year, this time at the Theater at Madison Square Garden supporting Slayer. This was my second time shooting there and I had the lucky break to capture the whole band in action with the synchronized light. View the full gallery.
