You Can Hate On FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Online, Just Be Original

So says their bassist.

Many bands have a polarizing effect, and Five Finger Death Punch is no exception. But love 'em or hate 'em, bassist Chris Kael doesn't have a problem with people commenting online about his band, as he reveals in an interview with Metalshop TV.

"I love it…. I get the shit talking. When I was a kid growing up, we didn't have social media, and it was us talking to one another. This is just another form of talking to friends, shit talking bands and whatnot that you don't like. It's much easier to get on the computer and do it now and for people to hear that kind of stuff. So I get it. I love it."

True to an extent, as these days, that same accessibility often allows for a drastic shift in topic, from the music to God knows whatever else. Kael continued by saying "Talk shit all day long. Bring it. Just be original. I don't wanna hear the fucking dumb shit that I hear over and over again. Be original. Don't be a hack. Get a chuckle out of me, and I do comment on 'em when it's a good one. Like, 'Oh, that one — that one's good.' We can make fun of ourselves. I fucking get it."

Dude clearly has some thick skin, but I'd hate to be the one opening his DM's today! Five Finger Death Punch is currently streaming "Times Like These" off their forthcoming record AfterLife, due out August 19. Five Finger Death Punch previously rolled out their single "IOU" that gave fans a sneak peek into the Metaverse project they've has been working on. The project will include an interactive virtual world that will act as a gamified fan club experience, developed on the near photorealistic Unreal Engine and providing an extension of the band’s existing Fan Club app in the near future.
