Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford revealed back in March that he was talking to both Behemoth front Nergal and Emperor's Ihsahn about possibly doing a black metal project or two. Ihsahn's name didn't come up in Halford's interview with The Phoenix Times, but Nergal's did and so did Ghost frontman Tobias Forge.
Halford doesn't seem to think anything is set in stone about the collaborations, but we're definitely hoping they happen!
“Nergal [from Behemoth] and I are possibly doing a collaboration. I was in the dressing room with Tobias from Ghost, and we talked about collaborative opportunities too. It’s fun for musicians to step into each other's world. It’s like different football teams — it’s the same game but a different play. I’m just very curious to see where my voice can fit in.”
Now if we could just get all four of those dudes on one album…
