Corey Taylor Says TRASH TALK Remind Him Of A Young SLIPKNOT

Corey Taylor has good taste!

We've called Trash Talk the most dangerous band in metal before. The band have been known to start psuedo-riots, break things and have fans who enjoy pissing in their own mouths. Even volume-sensitive shock collars can't stop them. They've been building quite the fan base, and recently, a pretty prominenet metal musician gave them some props. Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour fame spoke to TheGuardian.com about the perception of metal in mainstream media, and gave the band a pretty hearty endorsement.:

“The next generation are always trying to up the ante. Younger bands are trying to push it harder, trying to find that frenzy that hasn’t been done before. That’s why I love finding new bands. There’s one called Trash Talk – I go to their shows and I haven’t felt like that since I first saw Slipknot when I wasn’t even in the band. Black Sabbath begat Metallica begat Marilyn Manson begat us – there’s this need to raise the bar. I don’t see that in any other genre.”

That's really cool of Taylor to say and he makes a good band. There are always hungry bands in the underground. While Trash Talk do not wear masks, their shows bring an element of danger that are usually unseen at metal shows nowadays, and I'm sure that's what Taylor relates to.

Trash Talk are no strangers to celebrity fans either. New York City mayor Bill DeBlasio and his wife were spotted a gig last year, as have comedian Katt Williams and Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight.

For those unfamiliar with Trash Talk, this awesome animated video for "The Great Escape" should serve as a good introduction.
