How is it that everything Ulver ever does is so damn classy? The group posted on Facebook yesterday that the Neuropa Records website was back up, and with the site comes some news. First of all, look at these flasks!
Hot damn. Each one costs 55 Euros, which is a little expensive, but also totally worth it. The group has actually done flasks in the past- back in 2007 when Shadows of the Sun came out there was a limited flask then and apparently it went fast. I'd assume these will do the same since they're limited editions of 50 each, so get one here!
Now let's talk about new music… or rather, let's let the band talk about it. Not only is there a new record, but a vinyl repress of the group's 2000 record Perdition City!
"On the downside, we regret to inform you that the test presses of the Perdition City repress has been rejected by the band. The original plates were no longer available at the company and the new cut just doesn’t cut it. Therefore we have opted to give the next Perdition City vinyl edition the treatment it deserves: a thorough remastering specifically for vinyl (courtesy of Jaime Gomez Arellano/Orgone) and pressed on heavy 2×12″ vinyl. No release date or pre-order date set yet, sorry. But expect this on Jester via Neuropa Records summer 2015.
More news to come, including new shirts as well as new recorded output by the band."
So flasks, a long out-of-print vinyl coming back in a sexy way and a new record. Maybe we'll even get that play soundtrack the group wrote last year as a release too?
